1. Kevin Durant

This one is easy. Ranking Kevin Durant as the most clutch player on the team should be a no-brainer, unfortunately, the statistics make it slightly difficult to crown him.

For the 2017-18 NBA Playoffs, Durant shot just 3-for-10 from the field and 1-of-3 from the 3-point line in the clutch. However, we all know exactly what that one 3-pointer that he made was. It was, in fact, a dagger 3-pointer in the NBA Finals to help secure a 3-0 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This wasn’t the first time Durant drilled a clutch 3-pointer in the NBA Finals. I’m sure everyone remembers how the Warriors were at risk to lose Game 3 of the 2017 NBA Finals before Durant stepped up and connected on the go-ahead 3-pointer to take the lead and eventually the series win.

KD is the difference maker with this team. He is the guy who is going to take the biggest shot and live with the consequences. More often than not, these scenarios end positively for Durant. In fact, if we look at just the final two minutes of the 2017 NBA Playoffs, Durant was 2-for-2 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Currently, Durant is shooting 4-of-10 in the last minute of games in the 2018-19 NBA season. This is the seventh highest percentage of any player that has attempted at least 10 field goals during this stretch.

Next. Stephen Curry's most underrated skill. dark

When the Golden State Warriors need someone to lead them to a victory, Kevin Durant is the one who will be asked to step up. Therefore, Durant belongs in the number one spot on this list.
