2. Impact on his teammates

The most valuable aspect of Stephen Curry’s game is the impact he has on his other teammates. While yes, he does play with four other All-Stars, there is no question that Curry elevates their games when he is on the court.

This season, Curry is averaging 5.5 assists per game. He excels at drawing in defenders, whether it be on the drive or on the perimeter. Once he distracts the defense, Curry is great at finding open teammates for high quality looks.

With Curry on the court, the Dubs always end up with better shot attempts. When Steph is playing, the Warriors shoot an average of 7 percent better from the field. They also score 5.8 more points per 100 possessions and get to the free throw line 1.8 more times a game.

Players such as Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant tend to have their most efficient shooting games with Curry on the court, as he is able to attract more attention on defense, allowing KD and Klay to take easier shots. Both of these stars see increases to their field goal percentage with Curry on the floor as opposed to him on the bench.

The Warriors record as a team is 16-4 with Steph and 5-6 without him. He is clearly the most important member of the Warriors and is the key to their success.
