4. Lakers second option

Coming into the season, one of the biggest storylines surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers would be which player is going to step up and become LeBron James’ latest sidekick. So far, the answer is still unclear.

James has experienced his most successful year’s when he has a reliable Robin to his Batman. In the past, Dwyane Wade and Kyrie Irving filled in this role. But, who is going to take on this responsibility for the Lakers?

A few players have attempted to make their case. Kyle Kuzma has been impressive, averaging 18.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Brandon Ingram has also shined in spurts, putting up 15.5 points a game on 47.1 percent shooting.

The only problem is that both of these players have been wildly inconsistent. Neither has managed to string up a stretch of multiple good games and the team has suffered because of it.

A game against the Warriors will be the perfect chance for someone to rise to the occasion and become the second option. A big performance versus the best team in the league is exactly what Kuzma or Ingram would need to prove themselves. Keep an eye out for these two players.
