The Golden State Warriors were demolished on Christmas Day, and part of the reason was Draymond Green’s extremely poor play.

In the Golden State Warriors 26-point Christmas Day loss, they looked like a ghost of the team that’s won back-to-back NBA Finals. For the first time, it’s clear that the team might have issues. Their bench couldn’t make plays, and their stars could hit shots.

On several occasions, the Lakers would double Durant or Curry as soon as they got the ball. They’d then get rid of the ball, typically passing it to Iguodala or Green back at the top of the key. That was the game plan for the Lakers defensively. They didn’t let Durant and Curry find a rhythm.

With LeBron James out of the game, the Lakers did allow a quick run as the Dubs cut their double-digit lead down to two during the third quarter. However, it ballooned back up to 20 points after embarrassing turnovers from almost ever Warrior.

One player’s performance really stood out though. That was four-time All-Star forward Draymond Green. Green is not looking like the player that helped the Dubs win 73 games in 2015. His numbers are significantly worse, and it might be time to make a change.

Here are five reasons that, when combined, propose a compelling argument for trading the former Defensive Player of the Year.
