They get out of a potentially sticky situation

Draymond Green’s emotions will only stay in check for so long. Last night, he struggled. He knew that, but at what point will this escalate to another altercation between Green and superstar Kevin Durant.

Durant didn’t play well against the Lakers either, but the superstar has been dominant this season, scoring over 28 points per game. Durant doesn’t seem ready to walk away from the Bay, even after this season, but Green’s emotions and issues could boil over at some point this season.

The Warriors, for the last few weeks, haven’t looked like the dominant team we’ve been used to. Green’s play has been part of that, but the chemistry just isn’t there. The offense has for so long started with Green at the top of the key, but the Dubs can’t go to that anymore.

That’ll mean more isolation for Kevin Durant. More difficult shots will be on the way, and it won’t be easy for the team to beat teams that are obviously inferior. Against playoff caliber teams like LA, the pure brilliance from Curry and KD may not be enough and that’ll cause chaos in the Bay.

It may only be a matter of time before the KD-Dray beef kicks back up, especially given this outlandish defeat.
