Jamal Crawford

Another team completely out of the playoff picture is the Phoenix Suns, and after signing Jamal Crawford this offseason, they might as well buy him out. Flush with young talent, the Suns, who already bought out Tyson Chandler, could do the same with Crawford.

Crawford is averaging 6.4 points per game on 34.6% from the field. While not phenomenal, on the Suns, open shots are much harder to come by. However, shooting under 30% from deep is concerning for the 19-year veteran guard.

Crawford would help with bench scoring, and he’d bring leadership to players like Quinn Cook and Jacob Evans. His on-court presence with a lacking second unit would also increase the benches efficiency.

Opting not to sign with Golden State this offseason, Crawford could have a second chance at seeking a ring. Not yet an NBA Champion, Crawford had no desire to ride the bench to one, but the Dubs, instead, could offer him an impactful spot on their second unit.

He, like JR Smith and Trevor Ariza, would have to increase their effectiveness before receiving volume minutes though.
