Robin Lopez

Now we get to the two centers that the Golden State Warriors should really consider. Robin Lopez, who is currently playing in Chicago, would be a great big to bring off the bench behind DeMarcus Cousins.

Averaging just six points per game, RoLo, as he’s often called, is nearing a career low in scoring. That’s also so low because Lopez is averaging a mere 17.2 minutes per game. He’s not used much in the Windy City.

Still shooting over 50% from the field, Lopez is a viable low-post option. Although he’s not a great scoring threat, he can do some intangibles like protecting the rim and defending opposing bigs better than many of the Warriors’ bigs. His size is ideal for the Warriors who typically play smaller lineups than their opponents.

He’ll also be one of a few players potentially bought out.

Lopez is in the last season of his career and is owed over $14 this season. Add on the fact that the Warriors are low on sturdy big men, and it seems like the two could be a solid match.

The Dubs have had trouble slowing down big men this season, and RoLo, while not the best answer, could be an answer nonetheless.
