Dewayne Dedmon

Seeing Dewayne Dedmon bought out would be like Christmas in January for the Golden State Warriors. A skilled big man that can score down low while being able to protect the paint is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Dedmon, who is in the last season of his contract, is averaging fewer minutes per game this season than last in part to how excellent young center John Collins has played. On Atlanta, Dedmon’s efficiency has not taken a step back though.

Although he’s shooting under 50% for the first time since his rookie season, it’s almost a plus given the fact that Dedmon’s shown a consistent ability to shoot from deep. Averaging a three per game and nearly ten points per game, Dedmon, in the minutes allotted, has been excellent this season.

Also averaging over a block and steal per game, Dedmon has been dominant on the defensive end as well. For Golden State, Dedmon would be almost the perfect addition to anchor down low, especially given the fact that he can stretch the floor.

The Golden State Warriors don’t need any of these players, but they could take their second unit to a new dimension if they were able to sign one.
