DeAndre Jordan

A pipe dream, the Golden State Warriors could play their cards right and bring DeAndre Jordan to the Bay. Jordan signed a one-year deal this past offseason with the Dallas Mavericks. A trade for Jordan would certainly send one of the Dubs five stars to Dallas.

That star could be Draymond Green. Green is the only star not named Stephen Curry to be under contract after this season. If the Dubs hope to retain both Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant, they might want to consider parting ways with Green.

Jordan would be a perfect addition as well. He doesn’t need the ball in his hands to be dominant and can play off Durant and Curry. Jordan would thrive in the Bay given how much isolation offense there is. The need for his offensive production would be low.

Having averaged double-digit rebounds for six straight seasons, Jordan would thrive as the Dubs main big man. Upon Boogie’s return, the Dubs could go with a huge lineup of five pure superstars. Also, while he doesn’t rack of blocks, Jordan does protect the rim well.

All-in-all, Jordan won’t be shopped but just dreaming about him in the Bay is enough for now.

The Dubs need a rim protector and might have little luck in a market that’s relatively dry.
