The proposed trade

Let’s recap what’s all going on.

The Wizards are snagging Klay Thompson and Dion Waiters. The Pelicans would receive Bradley Beal and two first-round picks, one from Miami and one from Golden State. The Heat would add Draymond Green, and finally, the Warriors would add Davis and Wayne Ellington.

Financially, this trade works for all parties. Per the ESPN trade machine, this trade actually makes every team worse. Although no team is projected more than four additional losses, it’s obviously not ideal to be projected fewer victories.

This would be a wild deal, but for many of the players that seem discontent with their current position, they’d be finding a new home. Bradley Beal and Anthony Davis both would probably prefer a change of scenery prior to the February 7 trade deadline.

With that, let’s dive into each individual team and why they would do this deal.
