Jeff Green

Another player the Warriors played in the 2017 NBA Finals, Jeff Green could be the bench spark the Warriors crave. Green was signed this past offseason to help Washington compete in an increasingly competitive Eastern Conference.

Well, Washington, who signed the veteran, is looking unlikely to even be playing in the postseason. John Wall has since gone down with a season-ending injury, and the drama has since hit an all-time high in the nation’s capital.

Jeff Green, who doesn’t have many productive seasons remaining, should want out sooner rather than later.

While his veteran’s minimum wouldn’t help create cap space, his efficiency and production would be beneficial to the team’s second unit.

This season, Green is averaging 11.4 points per game on over 48% shooting. While not a terrific outside shooter, Green can space the floor. At 6-foot-9, he’s got the ability to guard all five positions and would allow the Warriors’ defense to switch pick-and-rolls with him on the court.

Over a 90% free throw shooter, the 11-year veteran has displayed his efficiency even while on one of the league’s worst teams. Green, while not a franchise-changing player, would help the Warriors in more than one way this season.
