Iman Shumpert

Having one of his best professional seasons, Iman Shumpert has been on a tear this season. The Sacramento Kings guard might eventually be shopped when teams distance themselves in the West’s ultra-tight playoffs race.

The 28-year-old is in the last season of his $11 million contract. Nearing a career-high with 9.3 points per game, Shumpert has nicely revived his game in Sacramento after being sent there prior to the trade deadline last season.

What has really been impressive for Shumpert is his three-point shooting. Averaging a career-high 1.9 per game, Shumpert has been productive from deep, but he’s also been efficient, shooting 37.7% from downtown, the second highest of his career.

Known as just a defender earlier on in his career, Shumpert can help the Warriors defense as well. In the bottom half of the league in defensive efficiency, the Warriors could use another defensive-minded stopper.

While Shumpert isn’t an elite rim protector, he can help free up cap space, enhance their defense and increase the bench’s production. He’s one of the most underrated potential trade prospects.
