Trevor Ariza

Last but not least is Trevor Ariza. While many might not like the concept of trading for Ariza, he could thrive in Golden State as he did in Houston. After signing with Phoenix this offseason, the Suns dealt Ariza to Washington just a few weeks ago.

The 15-year veteran has not thrived in his new home. While he is scoring over 14 per game, Ariza is shooting under 35% from the field and even worse from downtown. Once a feared sniper, Ariza has struggled to convert on teams that make him find his own shot.

That’s why the idea of Ariza on Golden State doesn’t seem too crazy. On Houston, a team with both James Harden and Chris Paul, Ariza needed 37% from deep and made 2.5 per game. Also an above-average defender, Ariza should be able to thrive alongside Stephen Curry or Kevin Durant.

His one-year, $15 million contract that he signed this past offseason would force the DUbs into a major trade, one potentially sending Andre Iguodala to Washington. However, it would free up at least $15 million in cap this upcoming offseason.

A trade, in general, might not happen, but if it does, expect it to be for one of these five players.
