2. Oklahoma City Thunder

Imagine a world where Kevin Durant returns to his old team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, and delivers a much deserved NBA championship. This type of story would match the likes of LeBron James fulfilling his promise to the city of Cleveland.

While Durant didn’t grow up in Oklahoma, it is the place where he became an NBA star. KD played eight phenomenal seasons for the Thunder and created memories that will last a lifetime. For his Thunder career, Durant averaged 28.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He was a seven-time All-Star, four-time scoring champ and one-time MVP with OKC.

Obviously, Kevin has some unfinished business with the city of Oklahoma. He failed to bring them the ultimate goal and fell short on multiple occasions. Returning to right his wrongdoing would be a truly great accomplishment for his legacy.

NBA fans everywhere would rejoice to watch Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant team up once again. Hopefully, the two stars could put their differences aside and the fan base would welcome Durant back to the franchise.

This move for Durant is exactly what he needs to regain the respect he deserves and prove himself as an all-time great. Bringing a trophy home to Oklahoma would solidify KD’s legacy.
