1. Golden State Warriors

Let’s be honest here, the most likely landing spot for Kevin Durant is still the Golden State Warriors. Durant risked it all by joining this franchise and while he has received massive backlash from fans, he has also seen nothing but success for his career.

In Golden State, Durant has breezed to two NBA championships and won the Finals MVP both times. While there might be some arguments about whether or not the Dubs belong to Curry or Durant, there is no question which player is asked to carry the load come playoff time. Durant is the X-factor for this team and they only go as far as he takes them.

Staying with the Warriors is the best decision for KD’s career. No amount of hate from the outside will ever discredit his accomplishments. The Warriors have a star-studded roster with players all in their primes. There is no reason he should leave.

The only thing that could cause Durant to leave is his own pride. It’s possible that KD is frustrated with the narrative around his name and wishes to join another team to erase the hate. However, this isn’t the correct move for Durant and I think he understands this as well.

At the end of the day, all people will look back at is the championships Durant won while he was with the Warriors. Nothing else will matter. As a result, KD should be signing back with the Warriors this summer.
