6. Washington Wizards

It has been speculated for a while, but maybe this is the year that Kevin Durant finally suits up for his hometown team, the Washington Wizards.

The Wizards are in an interesting position. They have not found much success with their core of Jon Wall and Bradley Beal, but seem reluctant to blow it up and rebuild. The franchise appears to believe in their All-Star backcourt and is willing to bet on them until the end.

If this is the case, then the Wizards will definitely need an upgrade in other portions of their roster. What better upgrade than signing the second best player in the world, Kevin Durant? This signing would obviously bring the Wizards to a level that the franchise has never seen and maybe give them a shot at winning a championship.

Wall is an excellent playmaker and would likely love playing with Durant next to him. As for Beal, his 3-point shooting is very valuable as the team needs him to help spread the floor with KD to give Wall the lanes he requires to attack and create plays.

This trio has the potential to be deadly. Assuming that Washington could attract some more role players with KD, this team would be ready to compete right away.
