3. Houston Rockets
Watching Kevin Durant reunite with his former teammate, James Harden, would be something special. Durant and Harden both appeared together in the 2012 NBA Finals but fell short to the Miami Heat. Since then, a lot has changed for both stars.
Durant went on to win an MVP as well as two Finals MVP and two NBA championships. Meanwhile, Harden transformed from Sixth Man of the Year to an MVP winner and is leading the charge for the Houston Rockets.
Harden has been in the midst of a historic three-year stretch. His production on offense rivals that of the greatest to ever play the game and his skillset has caused enough commotion to warrant multiple rule changes from the league. Harden is simply unstoppable right now and could very well end the season with his second MVP award.
With Harden comes the crafty point guard, Chris Paul. CP3 is one of the most talented players in the league and is always ready to battle. To round it out, Clint Capela holds down the interior for Houston and is a glass eating monster.
Bringing in Durant to this already solid roster is a scary thought. KD and Harden playing within the same system are enough to beat any team in the league.
