Green to Brooklyn

This one may seem like one of the few the Warriors might not consider, but for both teams, this could be a winning proposal.

For Golden State, they can bring in an underrated shooting guard, a high-energy forward and potentially a top pick in this year’s draft. While Green is an elite forward, he’s far from a superstar talent that would dethrone the Warriors as the 2019 NBA Finals favorite.

For Brooklyn, they become legitimate contenders in the East for the short-term future while not giving up too much. At the same time, the better they do this season, the worse off that pick will be. The main two pieces for Brooklyn are Harris and the pick.

They’re big fans of Joe Harris. Harris is averaging 13.5 points per game, almost double that of Green. To add to that, he’s making 2.5 threes per game, both career highs for the five-year veteran.

The Warriors could toss Harris on the bench and add some shooting to a second unit that ranks in the bottom five in points per game and three-pointers made per game.

All-around this trade seems like a win.
