Green to Miami- Part 2

Here’s another very likely proposition. In this deal, the first of two potential trades with the Miami Heat, the Warriors acquire a player similar to Green in James Johnson and then a sharpshooter in Wayne Ellington. Together they’d replenish Green’s production and add bench shooting.

The pick would just be an add on, but overall, it might not hold too much weight. However, Green’s defensive production is what makes him so special and that’s what the duo of Johnson and Ellington can’t duplicate.

The Heat have always tried to stay competitive too.

Currently, in the playoff race in a rough Eastern Conference, the Heat would become a true contender, much like the Nets if they added Draymond Green. Pat Riley seems like the type of manager that always seeks out these two-for-one type deals as well.

The Heat offense revolves around Dion Waiters, Josh Richardson, and Goran Dragic would benefit from a former Defensive Player of the Year on their roster. They’re also in the bottom half of the league in assists per game, showing how they could use the additional distribution that Green would also bring.

Another likely trade, why wouldn’t the Warriors consider doing this deal?
