Tier No. 1
Stephen Curry is having one of his best seasons in the NBA, and he’s still not ranked as the Warriors’ best player. A top-10 player in the NBA, Curry is averaging a team-high 28.8 points per game and a league-high 5.0 threes per game.
Recently, Curry’s percentages have dipped. He was on track earlier this season to be the first player in the 50/50/90 club. Now with a field goal percentage under 50% and a three-point percentage under 45%, Curry has taken a step back since returning from his groin injury.
Curry missing 11 games certainly hasn’t helped his claim as the team’s top player. His production, on the other hand, does rival the league’s best. However, the Warriors also possibly have the league’s best player on their team.
Kevin Durant has been on another level this season. Playing in all 42 games, Durant is averaging a stat line that’s unmatched throughout the NBA. Over 28 points, seven rebounds and six assists per game has Durant in a category of his own.
Shooting over 50% from the field, Durant’s only weakness has been his three-point shooting, averaging under 37% from downtown. After Green, Durant is the team’s leader in assists and rebounds per game, even further proving his value.
Next level production, Durant has also been in the middle of one of the best seasons of his career.
