12. Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers once had a chance to draft Kevin Durant back in the 2007 NBA Draft. Now, 12 years later, the Blazers can make a push to trade for Durant and right their previous wrongs.
Portland isn’t in the best position to make a trade. They have two stars in their backcourt and a few solid role players, but overall not that many assets to give up. Their best bet to make a deal and keep their core is to trade multiple first-round draft picks and sweeten the deal up with Jusuf Nurkic as the centerpiece.
Nurkic is averaging 14.9 points and 10.4 rebounds a game. He has shown flashes of brilliance such as his recent 24 point, 23 rebound, 7 assists, 5 steals and 5 block performance. Nurkic has a high-ceiling at 24 years of age and could shine with the Warriors.
Then, Durant would join the All-Star duo of C.J McCollum and Damian Lillard. Together, these three will attempt to take Portland to heights that they have never seen before.
