5. Houston Rockets

Is it possible that Houston could be the landing spot for a James Harden/Kevin Durant reunion? Watching these two stars compete together once again is something that fans everywhere would rejoice for and if the Rockets are willing to make the right deal it could happen.

Houston doesn’t have much to offer in terms of outright players. The best job they could do is a series of players such as Brandon Knight, P.J Tucker and Eric Gordon. Where they would really bring home the deal is by offering up two first-round draft picks as well as a second-round selection.

This exchange will leave the Rockets with little to their name. They will sacrifice a ton of depth and lose multiple draft picks as well. Furthermore, Houston already has a tight budget as far as cap space goes, so making this trade would leave them in a championship-or-nothing situation.

However, Golden State has everything to gain from this deal. The Dubs grow incredibly deeper with the likes of Knight, Tucker and Gordon. The cherry on top is that no matter how bad things get for the Warriors, they have the luxury of three future draft picks to help guide them back in the right direction.
