2. Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies are a team that spent years being competitive in the Western Conference and were once only four games away from a trip to the NBA Finals. However, it has been a drastic downfall for this franchise.
Multiple years in the lottery have led to growing frustrations within their veteran core of Mike Conley and Marc Gasol. While these two stars are about as professional as they come, it’s hard not to be disappointed when the team is playing so poorly.
The Grizzlies can either trade away their stars or attempt to get them some extra help before their window closes. In this scenario, Memphis goes all in and trades away Kyle Anderson, Garrett Temple, Jamychle Green and two first-round picks to obtain Kevin Durant.
With Durant, the Grizzlies create a lineup consisting of Conley, KD, Gasol and rising star Jaren Jackson. If healthy, this squad could be pretty competitive.
Once again, the Warriors gain depth in this trade and some extra picks to build their future. This is the common theme in all of these trades because the Warriors will need to check both of these boxes if they decide to trade Durant for any reason.
