1. New Orleans Pelicans

Rumors have been swirling around the New Orleans Pelicans potentially being forced to trade Anthony Davis. The franchise has struggled to give him proper help and it is only a matter of time before Davis inevitably requests to be traded.

Going for Kevin Durant could be the franchises last hope at giving Davis the assistance he needs to make a deep playoff run. It should be easy for the Pelicans to offer both Nikola Mirotic and E’Twaun Moore for Durant. Throw in a 2019 first round pick and this proposal becomes reality.

Mirotic is a deadly stretch-four, putting up 16.7 points while shooting 36.2 percent from the 3-point line on 7.1 attempts a game. His hot streaks make him a real threat to any team and a pick-and-roll featuring Stephen Curry and Mirotic would be very difficult to defend.

Adding Moore to the Dubs rotation would also be a great fit as he can play above average perimeter defense and score at a good enough rate to support the second unit.

This deal makes both teams happy. Golden State gets depth and draft picks, while the Pelicans hold on to their star as well as bring in another superstar to carry some of the load.
