One thing that the Boston Celtics have managed to do is create a team that can contend in the present day while also stockpiling assets for the future. As a result, the Celtics are in a unique position where they can trade a number of different players/picks in return for a real superstar.

This means that trading away a first-round draft pick in this year’s upcoming draft wouldn’t be too difficult for them. The 2019 draft class is projected to be an all-time great one, so this pick could potentially be very valuable.

In addition to the pick, the Warriors would be getting Jaylen Brown and Al Horford. Both of these players can play multiple positions and have a profound impact on their teams.

In exchange, the Celtics get Kevin Durant and Draymond Green. Durant and Green would help take the Celtics to another level and arguably turn them into the best team in the league.
