A recent hot streak from the Golden State Warriors has proven one thing, this team is nearly ready for the playoffs.

For a brief moment, it appeared that the Golden State Warriors were going to struggle this season. A number of unfortunate injury’s and a few bad games made it tough for the entire franchise. Now, those cold streaks seem like decades ago as the Warriors are on fire.

Golden State has been running through teams lately. In their last game, the Warriors beat the Los Angeles Clippers 112-94. This was the first game of the season in which DeMarcus Cousins was available to play and he made his presence felt immediately.

Cousins’ debut was a wild one. After attempting an ill-advised layup, Cousins came off of a pick and roll and threw down a thunderous dunk to formally announce his arrival to the Golden State Warriors. Boogie finished the game with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. He shot 3-for-4 from beyond the arc and fouled out in just 15 minutes of playing time.

As Draymond Green said in a recent post-game interview, “All hell is about to break loose”. The Warriors were already in their midst of one of their best stretches this season and the addition of Cousins will be overkill.

The Warriors have won seven consecutive games and have scored 140+ points in three of their last five games. Each member of their core has been on fire, with Curry leading the way. In this seven-game stretch, Curry is averaging 33.1 points on 47.6 percent shooting from the 3-point line.

This is a scary sight for the rest of the league. Seeing the Warriors break past their controversies and begin to hit their stride will be troublesome for every other NBA team. We still have a few months left for the team to hit full strength, but the Warriors are nearly ready for the playoffs.
