If the Golden State Warriors are going to trade a star, it’s Draymond Green, and with the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline approaching, here are 29 trades to consider.

While it seems unlikely the Golden State Warriors make a blockbuster trade, there are several reasons why they should consider trading Draymond Green, one of their original Big 3 members, prior to the NBA trade deadline on February 7.

For starters, Green is having one of his worst professional seasons. He’s shooting under 25% from downtown and has struggled to find a rhythm within the offense. His inability to shoot from deep oftentimes stagnates the Warriors’ dynamic offense.

The return of DeMarcus Cousins will lessen the blow of Green’s poor shooting, but it won’t cancel it out all the way. All-around, Green’s offensive game has been lacking this season while his defense has also seemingly taken a marginal step backward.

However, the offensive incompetence isn’t the only reason to deal the four-time All-Star.

Cap implications are another huge concern for Golden State, and Green is set to make over $20 million both this season and next. In order to bring back Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins, and Klay Thompson, the Warriors need to free up cap space.

Combine those two reasons along with the fact that Golden State might be Finals’ favorites without Green, and it seems likely that he’d be the first Warrior star to go. If traded, his destination could really be anywhere.

That said, let’s take a look at a trade between the Golden State Warriors and every other NBA team involving Draymond Green.
