NBA Trade Deadline: 29 hypothetical trades for the Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green
New York Knicks
The New York Knicks are already playing for next season, but when next season roles around, if they have Draymond Green, the team will be playoff contender without even doing much in free agency.
They’ll have Kevin Knox, Kristaps Porzingis and Green anchoring their starting lineup, creating one of the East’s best backcourts. Then they’ll also have a top-five pick to work with. That team could not only convince Green to re-sign but also be one of the top in the East.
For Golden State, they’ll free up cap while gaining both picks and a solid backup backcourt option. The biggest part of this deal is the pick. It should be a top-20 pick even if the Knicks retain all three heading into next season.
Kanter would help down low and be a good complement to Boogie Cousins, who could do more distributing from outside. Overall, the combination of Kanter, Burke and the pick could be enough to lure Draymond Green to the Big Apple.
