NBA Trade Deadline: 29 hypothetical trades for the Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green

San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs have young, talented guards, and the Warriors could use one of those to help take them into the next generation of Warrior basketball.

Bryn Forbes would be a perfect understudy for either Stephen Curry or Klay Thompson. Bertans would be a perfect, sharpshooting replacement for Green as well. However, I’m not sure the Dubs would want to trade Green to a team coached by Gregg Popovich.

Pop would get the most out of Green. Pairing him with Aldridge and DeRozan could make an elite team, one that even challenges Golden State in the postseason. Like Denver and Oklahoma City, the Warriors aren’t going to trade Green to a team that could dethrone them.

The return, two young prospects, should be intriguing at the very least. It’d be intersting to see if the Spurs would do this trade if it were on the table. They tend to keep and develop their up-and-coming youngsters.

Who wouldn’t do this trade?
