NBA Trade Deadline: 29 hypothetical trades for the Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green
Boston Celtics
Potentially to the two most talented teams in the NBA, the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors could complete a trade, and if they do, it’d be an absolute blockbuster deal. For Green, the Celtics may give up a combination of any one of their stars and a pick.
Green is more valuable than only a few Celtic stars, and Jaylen Brown is one of them. After a rough junior season, the Celtics, who will see Kyrie Irving become an unrestricted free agent this summer, might want to buy into their team sooner rather than later.
While still under 23, Brown’s scoring decreased from 14.5 points to 12.2 points per game. His efficiency took a hit as well, hurting his trade value. He’s shooting under 32% from downtown, a percentage the Celtics would love for him to increase.
In this deal, he’s sent to Golden State, showing the amount of decrease in his value. This trade only happens if the Celtics’ value of Brown has drastically taken a hit, and that, for now, is unknown.
