Charlotte Hornets

It’s now or never for the Charlotte Hornets. They need to make a move to retain Kemba Walker. They must prove to him that they’re willing to sacrifice the future for the present, and this trade does that.

Walker, a free agent at the end of this season, could see his team miss the playoffs yet again. Meanwhile, in a career year, the Hornets might be just one piece away from being a true contender in the Eastern Conference.

For Golden State, Marvin Williams could bring additional shooting to surround the excellent playmaking they already possess. Malik Monk would lead their second unit and potentially become the future of the Warriors backcourt.

Along with a first-round pick that could be in the top-five if Walker finds his way to another team in free agency, this trade seems worth the risk for both teams.
