The Golden State Warriors are set to face off against the Boston Celtics. Here is a preview of the point guard matchup between Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving.

Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving are two of the best point guards of the decade. With both players in the middle of hot-streaks, this showdown between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics should be a good one.

Curry has been lighting the league up all year. He has been lights out from deep, shooting 44.4 percent from the 3-point line. Steph is currently hitting a career-high of 5.2 3-pointers a game. His MVP level performances have led the Warriors to the first seed in the Western Conference.

As for Irving, he has been just as sensational. After a slow start to the season, Kyrie revved things up in order to get his team back on track. Over the last four games, Irving is averaging 30.8 points, 11 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. He is shooting an insane 60.3 percent from the field and 56 percent from the 3-point line during this stretch.

Meanwhile, Curry is on a run of his own. The Warriors are in the midst of a nine-game win streak as Curry has averaged 31.2 points on 50 percent shooting from the field.

Golden State is in the middle of their biggest win streak of the season while the Celtics are only three games away from matching their season’s best streak. This meeting between the two superstar teams will be an all-out brawl.

Irving and Curry have had a history of giving each other incredible performances. Each player tends to raise their production when the lights are their brightest. Meaning, both Curry and Irving will look to make a statement in this game.

With the NBA Playoffs slowly beginning to poke their head around the corner, this matchup will be the last time we see these two teams throw down until a potential NBA Finals series. This game will be very telling of what is to come as both teams prepare for their future encounters.
