Now that DeMarcus Cousins has made a successful debut to the Golden State Warriors, is this team invincible?

Many assumed that the addition of DeMarcus Cousins would transform the Golden State Warriors from a powerhouse franchise to an invincible supervillain. Now that Cousins has successfully appeared in four games, does the team look invincible?

So far, the Warriors have not lost a single game with Cousins in the lineup. In their four games played together, the Warriors are a perfect 4-0 and have won each game by an average margin of 12.3 points.

This stretch added on to an already seven-game winning streak from the Warriors, making it 11 total. Over the course of these 11 games, the Dubs have won two games by 30 or more points and scored 140+ points in both of those victories. Their already dominant offense has reached a new height with Cousins in the lineup.

Since Cousins debut, the Warriors have ranked fourth in points per game and field goal percentage. Furthermore, they rank first in assists at 32.8 a game and fifth in rebounds. It’s clear that this team is one of the few in the league that can control every aspect of the game.

Now it’s time to look at how Cousins himself has been performing. In his four games, Boogie is putting up 13.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. He has shot 55.6 percent from deep and 46.3 percent from the field overall.

DeMarcus has accomplished all of this while playing an average of just 21 minutes a game. Despite this, he is leading the entire league in fouls per game at 4.3 per game. This is an issue that will hopefully be resolved as he adjusts to playing high-level basketball again.

Cousins has played limited minutes, but his impact has already been felt. His ability to be a playmaker and 3-point shooter will take the Dubs to heights that have never been seen before in the NBA. The Warrior will truly have zero weakness when Cousins is at full strength, making them virtually invincible.
