In order to reel in Anthony Davis, the Golden State Warriors need to involve a third team that’s on the brink of making the playoffs.

Anthony Davis wants out. The likely team for Davis is the Los Angeles Lakers. It’s difficult for the Golden State Warriors to match their young talent and potentially valuable draft picks. Not to mention Rich Paul’s ties to both Davis and LA superstar LeBron James.

At the end of the day, it’ll be the best offer that entices New Orleans to deal their star center though.

They want to bring long-term potential and a future championship to their loyal fanbase, and whatever deal sets them up best for that type of success will be what Alvin Gentry and the front office accepts.

Right now, it’s the field racing against the Los Angeles Lakers for Davis. While the Warriors may not be able to reel in the big man, they can give any team a run for their money. However, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant will remain untouchable in any deal.

Davis is an elite big man with arguably the most efficient numbers in the league. He’s not Curry or Durant though. Everyone else on the Warriors’ roster will be up for grabs if New Orleans comes calling.

In many realistic trades, the Warriors need a third team. They need a place to trade a star, putting the third team over the hump of playoff contention. That said, let’s dive into five three-team trades for Anthony Davis.
