The Miami Heat are on the fringe of being a team that can compete in an open Eastern Conference. Bringing in a defensive-minded Draymond Green to play alongside Goran Dragic and Justise Winslow might be a match made in heaven.

However, what they do have to give up is Josh Richardson. The Heat value Richardson. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard is averaging a career-high 17.5 points per game this season. At 25, Richardson was one of the key pieces in a potential Jimmy Butler trade.

For New Orleans, you get revenge on Rich Paul by sending Davis to a team that’ll absolutely dominate the Los Angeles Lakers. There’s absolutely no way that’d be the only way to trade Davis away though. In this deal, they bring in one young star and two young studs with limited ceilings.

On top of things, the two first-round picks could be what puts this trade from the unlikely to considerable for New Orleans. The Pelicans could probably find a better deal, but Josh Richardson, like Kyle Kuzma, is a highly talented young player.

Jrue Holiday, Richardson, Randle and Mirotic would make a solid lineup for both now and the future.
