Draymond Green isn’t crying about not being an All-Star.

The NBA announced its 2019 NBA All-Star reserves Thursday night. Golden State Warriors superstar Klay Thompson was named a reserve. Draymond Green was not named a reserve.

Green this season is averaging 8.0 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 7.1 points, 1.6 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. He is shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 26.2 percent from three. Green in his career is a three-time All-Star.

The Western Conference All-Star reserves are: Klay Thompson, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Nikola Jokic, Damian Lillard, LaMarcus Aldridge and Karl-Anthony Towns.

With that being said, Green was snubbed from the All-Star game this season.

He has fantastic numbers and is a walking triple-double threat every night he steps onto the court. When he is on the floor, the Warriors defense plays a different style versus when he is not on the floor. He just changes the dynamics on the defensive end.

Could it be that he has missed 15 games this season? Possibly.

We’ve seen players worthy of being named an All-Star get snubbed due to missing too many games before. Is it due to his worst shooting from three since his rookie year? Possibly.

Those are some logical reasons for Green being snubbed.

However, his play should speak for what he does on the floor and what also does not show up on the stat sheet. He does so many things on the court that do not show up on the stat sheet. Y

es, coaches who vote pay attention to detail on all of those things when it comes to voting in the reserves. But, they could pay a little more extra attention to that.

For Green, this is just added motivation for the rest of the season. It’ll give him added motivation to put even more improvement in many facets of his game, especially his three-point shooting. It’ll be interesting to see how Green plays the rest of season after getting snubbed.

He hasn’t made any comments yet about not making it to the All-Star game. If he does, he will have interesting answers for sure. What he has said has been about Rudy Gobert’s emotion scene following his All-Star snubbing.

Gobert broke down, clearly upset on camera. Green mocked the situation.

Green was snubbed; we get it. But, was this necessary?

What we do get is an exciting matchup between Gobert and Green in just a few days. That said, get your popcorn ready for that Western Conference battle.
