SG, Alec Burks

After trading Rodney Hood, Alec Burks seems to be next in line in Cleveland’s firesale. He was acquired by Cleveland this season for Kyle Korver. Burks has played well in his time in Cleveland and could likely be worthy of at least a first-round pick.

Burks is averaging 11.4 points per game in Cleveland, shooting over 38% from deep. He’s a playmaking guard that’s on an expiring contract worth $11.5 million. That means that Golden State would likely have to give up Andre Iguodala in any potential deal.

Burks would add ideal shooting and playmaking to the Warriors second unit, a unit oftentimes void of a playmaking wing. Having an expiring contract would be ideal for the Warriors who plan to re-sign both Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson this summer.

Burks could likely be the captain of the Warriors bench, one of the worst shooting benches in the entire NBA. With the staggering minutes of their stars, the Warriors bench doesn’t get many opportunities, but Burks and his contributions could change that.
