SG, Terrance Ross

Terrance Ross is another player on an expiring contract. At this point, it’s just smart to assume every player the Warriors attempt to trade for has an expiring contract. Ross’ contract is worth $10.5 million.

Ross had all the intangibles to be one of the NBA’s best players of all-time. He’s athletic, can shoot and can defend well for his size. At 6-foot-5, Ross has ideal size to shoot over defenders and is quick enough to blow by them. He’s never developed into a great scorer though.

In Orlando, he’s averaging a career-high 14.1 points per game. Hitting 2.3 threes per game, Ross has had the green light during his time with the Magic. While Ross has had a successful season, at 22-31, the Magic haven’t seen the same success.

It’s time for players like Ross and Nikola Vucevic, who most likely won’t re-sign in Orlando, to find a new home.

A shooting, playmaking guard like Ross would be welcomed in the Bay. The Dubs, who have interest in Matthews, should also have interest in Ross if he becomes available over the next few days.
