PF, Markieff Morris

Markieff Morris’ contract is worth $8.6 million and is expiring, one obvious benefit of bringing in the 29-year-old.

Once considered the better of the two Morris brothers, Markieff hasn’t found the same success in Washington as he once did in Phoenix. In Phoenix, Morris was averaging over 15 points per game. In Washington this season, Morris is down to just 11.5 points per game.

He’s failed to become one of the go-to scoring options for Washington after they lost All-Star point guard John Wall for the season. However, for Golden State, he’d still bring good value to their second unit.

The Warriors’ second unit is void of playmaking. Morris, who can both score and spread the floor, would be a solid addition to their bench. Morris is a gritty, hard-nosed athlete that could bring a new level to the Warriors roster.

Averaging 1.3 threes per game, Morris has proven that he can score and score efficiently. A career 45% shooter, Morris should be a welcome addition to a second unit void of playmaking options.
