Jeremy Lin

Several teams have been interested in the Hawks’ Jeremy Lin. Although he didn’t live up to Linsanity hype, Lin has been a consistent scoring option over the last few seasons. Now, he’s a prime buyout candidate.

The Hawks, as a franchise, should be giving Trae Young and John Collins as many minutes as possible. Lin, the current backup point guard, could hit the waiver wire and become a solid backup shooting guard option for Golden State.

30, Lin is averaging 10.8 points per game this season. Down from 18.0 per game last season, Lin has a knack for scoring. With a 4.4 career assists per game average, Lin can distribute as well as score.

Undersized for the two, Lin would have to showcase an aptitude at defender larger guards before earning a spot on the world-class Warriors. If cut, expect the Warriors to at least be interested in Lin.
