Marcin Gortat

As of now, Marcin Gortat is the one that has interest in playing for Golden State, not the other way around. With one of his worst professional seasons during his most recent stint with Los Angeles, it wasn’t a shocker to see him waived.

That’s not to say that Gortat can’t ball anymore. He’s still shooting 53% from the field and scoring at a decent rate. He’s an experienced big man and could be a perfect backup center. However, the Warriors already have a backup center.

They actually have two of them. Both Kevon Looney and Jordan Bell aren’t given enough minutes as is. It almost seems like a done deal with Gortat if there is any part of the Warriors management that wants him.

Almost 35, Marcin is running out of time to find playoff success. Golden State is his one-way ticket to the promised land.
