E’Twaun Moore

The New Orleans Pelicans were about to be in all-out firesale mode, but the Los Angeles Lakers didn’t fold in their talks for superstar Anthony Davis. However, they still sold Nikola Mirotic, who is averaging a career-high in points per game, to Milwaukee.

Mirotic’s trade meant that the Pelicans were giving up on making the postseason. It also almost guarantees Davis is traded in the summer. What it is also should’ve done is start a firesale, which it didn’t.

If it did, E’Twaune Moore would’ve been on his way out. The Dubs should’ve easily given a first-round pick for Moore. He’s averaging 12.3 points per game which including over 42% shooting from deep.

Moore’s sharpshooting would’ve given the Dubs bench a new dynamic. The team typically staggering Curry and Durant’s minutes, giving the bench a superstar to work with. Moore in addition to a superstar would’ve been a lethal duo.

The Dubs second unit needs shooting, and Moore is one of the most accurate in the league. However, the Pelicans not selling off all their current assets made trading Moore unlikely.
