13. Brooklyn Nets

The most surprising team of the season has to be the Brooklyn Nets. Coming into the season with very low expectations, the Nets have shocked everyone by starting the season 30-29 and going into the All-Star break as the sixth-best team in the East.

The Nets have been on the rise due to multiple young stars stepping up. While D’Angelo Russell is the only player to actually be named to the All-Star team, other players like Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, Jarret Allen and Caris LeVert have all had spectacular seasons.

Harris is shooting the second best 3-point percentage in the league at 47.1 percent while Dinwiddie has scored the 11th most points in the clutch (81). Meanwhile, Allen is protecting the rim at a prolific rate, blocking 1.6 shots a game.

Once LeVert makes his return, this team will become very scary. before his injury, LeVert was averaging 16.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists a game. LeVert very well could have been an All-Star this season had he remained healthy.

The Nets won’t be competing for a championship this season, but they will be a tough out for any team in the East.
