12. Sacramento Kings

Another pleasant surprise this season is the Sacramento Kings. They have exceeded expectations and are on fire lately, winning six of their last 10 games. Only three teams in the West have won more games during this stretch.

The Kings have managed to play at such a high level due to the emergence of both Buddy Hield and De’Aaron Fox. Hield is a late bloomer, who in his third season, is averaging a career-high 20.5 points and 5.1 rebounds a game. he has killed teams with his 3-point shooting, hitting on 44.9 percent of his attempts this season.

As for Fox, he is proving that he might have been the best player in last years NBA draft by putting up a stat line of 17.2 points and 7.2 assists a game. His blazing speed and consistent 3-point shooting have transformed him into an elite rising star.

Sacramento is in the fight for a playoff spot and while they should be trying to get a lottery pick, they might end up securing a place in the postseason for the first time since the 2005-06 season.
