NBA Power Rankings: Who are the biggest threats to the Warriors?
By Tony Pesta
7. Houston Rockets
For much of the season, the Houston Rockets have been a one-man wrecking show with James Harden destroying opposing teams. Harden is having a historic season and potentially the greatest offensive season the league has ever seen.
As the MVP front runner, Harden is putting up an insane 36.5 points, 7.8 assists and 6.7 rebounds per game. In case you were wondering, no other player in NBA history has ever recorded a season with numbers such as these.
Harden has been putting the team on his back and carrying them to victories while his star teammates, Chris Paul and Clint Capela, nurse their injuries. Due to this, the Rockets have dropped a few games and are the fifth seed in the Western Conference. For this reason, they rank seventh on our list.
However, now that CP3 has made his full return to the team and Capela is scheduled to be back before the playoffs, the Rockets will move up the rankings. Houston is a very scary team when fully healthy and has a chance at beating any team in the league.
