Now that we are midway through the 2018-19 NBA season, let’s break down our picks for this year’s awards and decide if any Golden State Warriors make the cut.
The NBA All-Star weekend is here, which means the season is just about at its halfway point. It has been a very eventful season so far and many of the award races are very close. Today, we are going to make selections for each major award and find out if any members of the Golden State Warriors deserve an award.
The Warriors are no strangers to winning awards. Stephen Curry is a two-time regular season MVP and also holds the one and only unanimous MVP season. Before he was a Warrior, Kevin Durant won the 2013-14 NBA MVP and has also won two Finals MVP’s with the Dubs.
Meanwhile, Draymond Green has been in the running for Defensive Player of the Year multiple times and won the award in the 2016-17 season.
Deciding who is the most deserving of a few of these awards will be tough. Plenty of players have had superb campaigns and things are sure to change before the season is over. Still, we will break down who we have winning each award through the first half of the season.
