Most Improved Player Award: Pascal Siakam

Honorable Mentions: De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Derrick Rose, John Collins

For our first selection, Pascal Siakam is taking home the Most Improved Player Award. Siakam was discovered at the 2012 Basketball Without Borders event where he unexpectedly began his path to NBA stardom.

According to Siakam, he never expected to be a basketball player in the first place. He claims that in his younger years he would play basketball but didn’t take the sport very seriously. Now, Siakam is one of the league’s brightest young stars.

With averages of 16.1 points, 7 rebounds and 2.8 assists a game, Siakam has made huge leaps in his game. He has more than doubled his points per game average and has transformed into an elite perimeter defender with his big size and reliable foot speed.

Siakam is a key component to a championship contending team and rightfully deserves this award.
