Can anyone take down the Golden State Warriors prior to the NBA Finals?

With All-Star Weekend behind us, let’s turn our eyes to the most important part of the NBA season: the postseason. Who will be the Golden State Warriors biggest challengers in the Western Conference playoffs?

Exiting All-Star Weekend, the Warriors will get back on the long, tedious struggle that is the regular season. While they’re currently sitting atop the Western Conference, the pre-All-Star break stretch of games might’ve been the most difficult in Golden State’s reign.

At one point, they lost five of six games, dropping four straight, their longest streak in over half a decade. However, they figured it out and rallied off eleven straight at one point, a streak that didn’t surprise many.

Although they haven’t shown it at times, the Warriors have been the West’s most dominant team. While the Eastern Conference is a different story, the Warriors, just like every other team, will need to make it out of their own conference to worry about the other.

This season, Golden State is just 25-11 against the West. Seemingly a pretty solid record, there have been numerous teams to give them as much as they can handle. That said, let’s dive into who the Warriors should try to avoid in the Western Conference playoffs.
