Houston Rockets

Coming in second is the Houston Rockets.

The Rockets are led by MVP candidate James Harden. The only player averaging over 30 points per game, Harden has been on an insane streak. Averaging 36.6 points per game, Harden’s streak of scoring over 30 in a game has extended to over 30 games and still continues to this day.

Without much help from Chris Paul, Harden has the Rockets as a top-five team in the West. Is his style of play going to be able to continue in the postseason though? Before considering the Rockets the top threat in the West, we must see Harden get some help.

Paul is aging, so it’s unclear how injuries may hamper the 33-year-old. Without too many other consistent playmaking threats, Harden would have to carry the burden of the entire team if they were to go for a deep playoff run.

One of the few players to drop 60 points in a game, will Harden alone be enough to take down Golden State? Let’s just say, until it happens, it seems unlikely.
