It’s tough for a member of the Golden State Warriors to get into the MVP conversation but Stephen Curry should be getting more consideration.

Nowadays, it’s very difficult for fans or the media to appreciate what an individual player on the Golden State Warriors is accomplishing. The team as a whole is so stacked that the players do not get enough credit. Today, we will discuss why Stephen Curry deserves more MVP consideration.

This season has seen many great players have phenomenal campaigns. James Harden is having an incredible offensive season averaging nearly 40 points a game. Meanwhile, both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Paul George are playing superbly on both ends of the floor.

There are many different players that are worthy of winning the MVP award. But, why isn’t anyone talking about the season we are seeing from Stephen Curry?

Curry is averaging 28.5 points, 5.2 assists and 5.1 rebounds a game. He is shooting a very efficient 48.8 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from the 3-point line. Behind his deadly shooting, the Warriors have a 41-16 record and are the best team in the Western Conference.

The two-time MVP is second in the league in total 3-pointers made with 236. He is behind only James Harden, who has played in eight more games and attempted over 200 more 3-pointers than Curry. Still, Curry is less than 40 behind Harden’s total of 274.

Steph is the difference maker on the best team in the league. He is the missing key that makes the Warriors the powerhouse franchise that they are. Without Steph, the Dubs are not nearly as deadly on offense and his improvements on defense this year have made them even stronger.
